Rebeccah and Darrell tied the knot at the rustic yet beautiful Tensing Pen Resort in Negril Jamaica.
It was an intimate wedding shared with their closest friends and family.
Most memorable for me was the near-suicidal cab ride from the airport to the resort. I caught the red-eye flight from LA landing at the crack of dawn and before I could grab a cup of Blue Mountain coffee, I was being escorted to the resort by Devon, the scariest cabbie in all of Jamaica. This guy was racing down the 2 lane highway at speeds of 100 mph in his makeshift giliape minivan-cab rockin out to Reggae and rolling the fattest "cigarette" I have ever seen. I thought for sure I was a gonner! I even went so far as to video record what I though my last moments on this planet.
So what should have taken 2 1/2 hours took about 45 minutes and that included him stopping on the side of the road to pick a coconut, slice it open with a machette he just so happened to be carrying was and handing it to me with a straw that came from somewhere in the backseat. Good times! I didn't want to be rude, especially after seeing the machette, so I drank the fresh coconut juice and it was delicious.
I did arrive in one piece to the resort and met Rebeccah and Darrel then for the first time. We instantly hit it off and from that moment on the weekend party began with their closest friends and family really enjoying themselves in the beautiful Carribean. Before the ceremony, I got pictures of their friends jumping off a bridge at the resort, swimming, yoga and lounging around. Documenting the experience was awesome and we really enjoyed ourselves. The ceremony was beautiful as we overlooked the ocean at sunset and Rebeccah looked amazing.
Unfortunately we couldn't stay longer, but we will be back soon. Yea mon!
